General
Educational games and interactive activities are more engaging than traditional paper-pencil tasks. Games and interactives provide many educational advantages. They provide a welcome break from the usual routine of the class. Additionally, they are motivating and challenging, thus helping students make and sustain the effort required for learning. In this hands-on session, you will learn to easily create games and interactives that are customized to your curricular content. You will be introduced to applications such as Hot Potatoes, Quia, Quizlet and ClassTools. Time will be devoted to creating several games and interactives.
This session also introduces using Moodle as an efficient way to organize games and interactives and to deliver them to students.
